INFO & Agenda

We are pleased to welcome our Parallel Data Consortium Member Companies to the 22nd Annual /1st Virtual Parallel Data Laboratory Spring Visit Day.

Since an in-person PDL Visit Day is not currently possible, we will be doing a "Virtual Visit Day". Please stay tuned for updates, which will be posted here, as we refine ideas and plans to create as much real interaction as possible, while also sharing PDL research activities and results.

  • Short presentation videos by and interaction with PDL students during our virtual poster sessions -- Initial List of Student Posters and Video Intros

  • PDL research overview talks -- List of Talks

    • Overview of Storage for HPC and ML Research -- Prof. George Amvrosiadis
    • Overview of Caching Systems and Memory Services Research -- Prof. Nathan Beckmann
    • Overview of Data Lake and Cloud Computing Research -- Prof. Greg Ganger
    • Overview of Parallel and NVM-aware Computing Research -- Prof. Phil Gibbons

AGENDA

The main agenda items are as identified in the features list above. Timing details will be coming soon, as we continue to collect registration information and nail down details of how to effectively enhance access/participation across timezones for everyone involved.

We have worked hard to ensure that all registrants around the world will be able to access the talks and poster content and participate in a substantial amount of poster session interaction. Talks within the agenda may still shift around, but the current plan is as follows (all times EDT):
