iFCP revision 14 submitted to archive

    Hi:

The iFCP specification has been revised to reflect changes in the fibre
channel and FCP specifications (references (c) and (d)) and to correct the
editing errors described below. The new version (revision 14) has been
submitted to the IETF archive and should be announced shortly.

This version contains the changes needed to reinstate the fibre channel REC
and REC ACC link services as extended link services. These were formerly
defined as FC-4 services implemented by the fibre channel SCSI protocol
mapping specified in reference (d). Their reversion to extended link
services was approved by T11.3 (see reference (a)).

I've also added two normative references incorrectly omitted from the
    previous version.

    Change description:

Sections 7.3.1.8 and 7.3.1.9 -- New sections adding the REC and REC ACC
extended link services as specified in T11 document 02-501v1 (reference
(a)). This material was moved from sections 7.3.2.1.1 and 7.3.2.1.2 and
revised in accordance with reference (a).

Sections 7.3.2.1.1 and 7.3.2.1.2 -- Sections on FCP REC and FCP REC ACC link
    services revised to
    a) Reference the description of the reinstated link services now moved to
    the above sections,
    b) Call attention to the obsolescence of the FC-4 versions (see reference
    (b)),
    c) Require an iFCP gateway to implement both versions in order to support
devices conforming to earlier revisions of the FCP-2 spec.

Added the following normative references erroneously omitted from rev 13:

    a) FCP-2
    b) FC-FS

    Appendix (a)

Modified to reinstate REC and REC ACC as extended link services.

In the PDF version, changes from rev 13 are indicated with highlighted text
and change bars. In some cases, the section and figure numbers were
highlighted by the word processor even though no changes to the text were
    made.
