FCIP rev 8 contains the following major changes (from
rev 7):

  o Addition of authentication for SF frames received
    on the 2-nd to n-th TCP Connections in an FCIP
    Link.
  o Remove the ability to send the SF at any time other
    than as the first bytes on a new TCP Connection.
  o Remove the ability to merge FCIP_LEPs.
  o Update security section to match latest IPS WG
    draft.
  o Addition of Class 4 SOF codes.
  o Addition of TCP Connection closure reporting
    requirements so that the FC Entity is made
    aware of every significant TCP Connection closure.
  o Move Ch bit in pFlags.
  o Add IANA assigned FCIP well known port number and
    IANA Considerations annex.
  o Add "FCIP Usage of Addresses and Identifiers" annex.
  o Other changes agreed in Salt Lake.

Work remaining to do:

   o Further corrections to the Special Frame security
     based on review of the rev 8 draft
