Re: iSCSI: Asynchronous Message PDU Data Segment Format

Sounds reasonable - and I recall we had it this way once but can't remember why we did change it.
If nothing else pops up from the archive I will change it to be the same as in the command response.

    Julian,

For Asynchronous Message PDU, the Data Segment may contain Sense Data or iSCSI Event Data.

I suggest adopting a format compatible with that of SCSI Response PDU Data Segment.  In this format, the first two bytes are the Sense Length which may be 0, the next Sense Length bytes are Sense Data and the remaining DataSegmentLength - (2 + Sense Length) bytes contain other data, in this case the iSCSI Event Data.

If the Sense Data and iSCSI Event Data are never used at the same time, that is fine.  It still means only one way to parse Sense Data from a Data Segment, and only one way to place Sense Data into a Data Segment.

    Thanks,
    Nick
