    RE: need info regarding checksum algorithm

    That's a confused question, as nothing comes before SOF (S = Start).
    The answer to the question I think you intended to ask is that
    Fibre Channel uses a standard CRC for each frame, and of course
    it's documented in the relevant Fibre Channel standards.
