IPS anti-spam filter

Folks,

Since a couple of people have bumped into this in the
past few weeks, I should point out that the IPS mailing
list uses an anti-spam filter that requires that posts
to the list come from subscribed addresses.  Those that
don't are bit-bucketed in order to avoid generating email
in response to spam.  The filter had to be put in after
we started getting bombarded with spam a while back and
has been very effective.  If you post from an address
that's not subscribed to the list and don't see your
post appear, this is why.
