TITLE: Performance Study of Spindle: A Web Analytics Query Engine Implemented in Spark

ABSTRACT:
The Adobe Marketing Cloud provides a web analytics platform on a distributed system. This talk presents an early-stage study by Adobe Research on the feasibility of using the Spark distributed computing environment for web analytics in the Adobe Marketing Cloud. This study has resulted in the Spindle project as a benchmarkable web analytics processing engine. We will cover small-scale experimental results from tuning Spindle and Spark for low-latency queries. Spindle is openly available at https://github.com/adobe-research/spindle.
