On Supporting an Internet Cellular Phone Network

Abstract:
Providing service guarantees in a mobile internetwork requires that the network account for host mobility. Host mobility imposes spatial resource demands on the network. In this talk, we will explore new service models, admission control policies, and spatial reservation schemes for mobile hosts in ISPN(Integrated Services Packet Network). We will also discuss aspects of MRSVP; a Mobile RSVP scheme to support applications requiring quality of service in a mobile internetwork. One such example: An internet cellular phone.
