INTEL - Computational Imaging in the Visual Cloud Intern
Location: Santa Clara, CA
Job Description
Intel Labs is seeking a motivated intern to join our Systems and Software Research (SSR) Lab. We are currently accepting applications for a Visual Cloud Systems intern.
The successful candidate will be part of a research initiative underway at Intel combining computational imaging with the visual cloud and will work with research staff in Intel Labs to contribute to that project. The candidate is expected to fit into the team and collaboratively contribute to an existing project and its research goals.
In this internship the candidate will be responsible of mapping existing computational imaging/computer vision algorithms to cloud computing environments to facilitate scaling in the cloud that will enable real-time processing for those algorithms. This might include using existing cloud and visual cloud technologies (e.g., containers, kubernetes, Scanner framework for easy visual cloud implementation, etc.) as well as researching and identifying gaps on current technologies that might prevent real-time applications.
The candidate should be well versed in aspects of software engineering and cloud computing environments, and have familiarity with computer vision, image processing and imaging systems that are foundations of computational photography and video.
