Re: Asynchronous Messages : Clarification Needed

1-please prefix the subject line of your notes with iSCSI
2-the logout that MUST be ssued upon receiving an AE can be either a connection logout or a session logout (the initiator decides what it wants).

Subject:        Asynchronous Messages :  Clarification Needed

    Hi All,
    This is regarding Asynchronous Messages.
when Target sends an Asynchronous Message with AsyncEvent = 1
Page 150, section 9.9.1, paragraph 2 of draft 11-93 says,
1 - target requests Logout. This Async Message MUST be sent on the same connection as the one requesting to be logged out.
Initiator MUST send a Logout with a reason code of "Close the connection" (if not the only connection) OR "Close the session" to close all the connections (if using multiple connections).
"if not the only connecetion" and "if using multiple connections" have same meaning. So for me it is ambiguous.
How should initiator interpret the reques whether it is for "close the connection" or "close the session"? Please Clarify??
    Should we interpret
when there is only one connection, the request is for "close the session" otherwise if there are multiple connection the request is for "close the connection" on which the async pdu has been received.
But in the above scenario Target could never send a request to "close the session" if there are multiple active connections.

    -regards,
    Giri
