Abstract:
Every discipline has developed tools and ideas that are useful for solving problems within that domain. Often a technique from one discipline finds applicability in another once the appropriate mapping between the domains is found. Finance is the discipline that studies risk and reward. This talk will explore some of the ideas that are in the intersection between finance and computer science, finance and science and finally finance and philosophy.
