Hardware and Software Overview of an MRI System

Abstract:
In this talk, I will present an overview of a typical realtime MRI system. The typical MRI system has the need to control several subsystems with a high degree of accuracy as well as interface with a user menu driven non-realtime user interface. I will describe the major system compenents as well as a programming languages, which must be capable of interacting both with the realtime and non-realtime system components. Finally, I will present a specific examples of programming an MRI system.
