DEPARTMENT OVERVIEWSymantec Research Labs (SRL) is focused on helping provide Symantec the next generation of security and storage technologies. The Core Research group of Symantec Research Laboratories aims to develop next-generation computer security and storage/clustering technologies that have visible impacts on Symantec's current and future product lines. The research focus of this group is on malware detection, intrusion prevention, software security, content analysis, highly available clustering and high-performance storage management and file systems. RESPONSIBILITIESThis is an opportunity to be part of an outstanding team at Symantec Research Labs.The individual will be responsible for developing new concepts, tools and technologies in one or more of the following areas: Next generation distributed computing, file systems, virtualization, security and compliance.
