Responsibilities
This is an opportunity to be part of an outstanding team at Symantec Research Labs. The individual will be responsible for developing new concepts, tools and technologies in one or more of the following areas:
- Storage, Distributed Systems, Parallel Computing, Backup & Replication
- Scale-Out clustered HDD/SSD systems
- Virtualization, Hypervisors & Cloud Computing
- Big Data Infrastructure & Database Platforms
Projects will include researching challenging problems, developing working prototypes, making public presentations and transferring results to business units for commercialization.
PhD in Computer Science or related field is required. Prior experience (university research or commercial) preferred.
