INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY

I'm happy to invite the strongest PhD candidates to apply for a summer internship position at Google's Seattle  Systems Lab.  Over the last ten years,  the most amazing systems engineers and researchers at Google have
built the world's largest systems running the most innovative systems software (http://research.google.com/pubs/papers.html).  And now, Google is doing it in Seattle, with computer scientists like Craig Chambers, Marvin Theimer, Preston Briggs, Yatin Chawathe,  Theo Vassilakis, Dave Hanson, Brian Bershad, and many others at Google in the Northwest.

REQUIREMENTS

Systems PhD students, especially those whose research areas touch on programming systems (including compilers, runtime, multicore, program analysis), operating systems and distributed systems, are invited to
submit a single PDF file that includes a cover letter, one page thesis description, and CV.

Email to bershad+intern2008@google.com by March 15, 2008 with the subject line "internship." The earlier the better, as decisions can be made before the deadline.  Students in at least their second year are particularly encouraged to apply.
